Once going upstairs, set within the surrounding lush forested slope, we discover a series of natural pools and a generous open-air living space housing the shared facilities.

Nestled at the edge of a valley amidst rice fields, the retreat consists of several centuries-old teak houses and reclaimed ironwood decks. The wood-paneled windows let the fresh breeze in. Semi-outdoor bathrooms enjoy privacy with their private garden open to the sky. The delicately carved doors and sculpted beams relinquish an enchanting, rustic luxury.

All bungalows share common access, parking, security, and gardens, where coconut trees, papayas, passion fruits, mangoes, avocadoes, fresh organic vegetables, and herbs grow. Each is connected to the common areas by a meandering timber path, crossing the permaculture gardens, sometimes floating above rice fields.

The retreat is part of a larger property that includes a yoga shala fitting up to twenty students and a more petite, more intimate traditional bale amidst a fish pond and herb garden, serving for yoga, meditation, massage, or other relaxation functions.
